As Shekhawat unfolds the strange case, he gets entangled in a drama that has more to it than meets the eye. Meanwhile, his personal life suffers as he reels under the repercussions of an almost-broken marriage with Roshni (Rani Mukerji), and comes face-to-face with his suppressed grief of losing his only child.
While trying to investigate the case, Shekhawat meets a sex worker Rosie (Kareena Kapoor), who helps him fight his inner demons and also helps him with his enquiry about the accident. How Shekhawat solves the case and revives his relationship with his wife forms the crux of the story.Wikipedia

The story is good but slow overall.Towards later half when you think the suspense would not be so much exciting you will suddenly surprised by the end....an impractical but stunning end.End is good for film but not for Amir s film......You will really go back to memories all dialogue and situations in end and you would find so much mining full dialogues there are. Good work by Farhan and Anurag.
Though songs are pretty well to hear, unnecessary use of loud and continuous background sounds try to create pseudo excitation and ends up with irritation.
If you compare Tallash with Kahani.,than the later would be Harbhajan Sing who scored 100 and former would be Tendulkar who scored 30-40 in a same match.
While Rani has justified her little roll,Karina is brilliant with both her acting and looks..Nawazuddin is different as usual.....
Direction is good but not up to mark. Some mistakes like no exit bullet wounds on Taimur s body or on back wall, you can easily notice.
Overall film is a good time pass but not a film of Mr.Perfectionist.
