Sajidkhan has reportedly been dropped from the Housefull sequel for calling Akshay Kumar a "flop".
The Himmatwala filmmaker directed the star in the first two films in the popular comedy franchise.
A source told the Mumbai Mirror: "It was a big showdown. The conversation ended with Akshay telling Sajid he didn't want to interact with him anymore.
"Akshay is very angry and has told his buddies about it. Even filmmakers like Karan Johar, Rajkumar Hirani and Farhan Akhtar don't pass such remarks. Like every other actor, Akshay has had his share of highs and lows. More significantly, he is on a firm footing right now."
According to the paper, Khan was dropped from the film by Housefull producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
In December, Kumar became the first actor that year to have made an estimated 400 crore in the box office.
Director Shirish Kunder was dropped by Nadiadwala for Kick after Joker, starring Kumar, flopped with audiences last year.
